A housekeeper is hired by the rich uncle of two orphans to take care of them. The man wants nothing to do with his grandchildren, whose custody he has obtained, so the housekeeper is sent to Bly Manor, a country villa located in Essex, where she will have to nurse the little Flora and Miles. However, the woman begins to see a mysterious man and woman wandering around the house, but no one else notices their presence.
