The story follows the story of Elliot, a boy who suffers from a mental disorder, convinced that the only way to be able to establish a connection with people is to treat them as computers and act as a "hacker". Elliot uses his incredible talents as a weapon to protect the people he cares about. Elliot is approached by Mr. Robot, a mysterious anarchist-insurrectionist, who intends to introduce him to a group of hacktivists known as fsociety. The manifesto of fsociety is to free humanity from debts with banks and to unmask the powerful who are destroying the world.
La storia segue le vicende di Elliot, un ragazzo che soffre di un disordine mentale, convinto che l’unico modo di riuscire a stabilire un collegamento con le persone è trattarle come computer e agire come un “hacker”. Elliot usa le sue incredibili doti come un’arma per proteggere le persone a cui tiene. Elliot viene avvicinato da Mr. Robot, un misterioso anarchico-insurrezionalista, che intende introdurlo in un gruppo di hacktivisti conosciuti con il nome di fsociety.
