In the 22nd century, two androids (Mother and Father), fleeing with embryos from the war-torn Earth, have the task of raising human children on a mysterious planet (Kepler-22 b). After a few years, only one of the children survives and it turns out that on the planet there are other terrestrials, also fled. If on the one hand the human colony threatens to be destroyed by the religious differences within it, on the other hand the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of human beings is a difficult and dangerous task.
Nel XXII secolo, due androidi (Madre e Padre), in fuga con degli embrioni dalla Terra devastata dalla guerra, hanno il compito di crescere bambini umani in un misterioso pianeta (Kepler-22 b). Dopo alcuni anni, solo uno dei bimbi sopravvive e si scopre che sul pianeta sono presenti altri terrestri, anch'essi fuggiti. Se da un lato la colonia umana minaccia di essere distrutta dalle differenze religiose interne ad essa, dall’altro lato gli androidi imparano che controllare le credenze degli esseri umani è un compito arduo e pericoloso.
