A mystery drama with a historical setting, it tells the story of a group of migrants from different backgrounds who, having left the Old Continent aboard a steamer, head north-west towards New York City to start a new life. All of them share hopes and dreams for the new century and their future abroad, but the crossing takes an unexpected turn when the sighting in the open sea of another migrant ship the "Prometheus" adrift missing for months turns their journey to the promised land into a terrifying nightmare.
