After the failure of an important corporate merger, CompWare, a videogame production house, a strange individual shows up in the offices: it is the consultant, Mr. Patoff, who soon turns into a threat to the company's employees: he calls them during the night imposing absurd hours on them, he monitors them using video cameras, he introduces himself into their private life.Finally Patoff, after sowing suspicion, rivalry and fear among the employees, leads the company to success.
Dopo il fallimento di un'importante fusione societaria, la CompWare, casa di produzione di videogames, uno strano individuo si presenta negli uffici: è il consulente, il signor Patoff, il quale ben presto si trasforma in una minaccia per i dipendenti della ditta: li chiama durante la notte imponendo loro orari assurdi, li sorveglia servendosi di telecamere, si introduce nella loro vita privata.Infine Patoff, dopo avere seminato sospetti, rivalità e timore tra i dipendenti, porta l'azienda al successo.
