Ten years after the death of all members of the Justice Society of America during a battle with the Injustice Society, high school student Courtney Whitmore discovers the Cosmic Scepter and, upon learning that her stepfather Pat Dugan had been Starman's sidekick, decides to become the progenitor of a new generation of superheroes.
