Set between planet Earth, in a future in which progressive desertification has compromised the survival of its inhabitants, and the Moon, the plot unfolds between the social difficulties of the lower classes, to whom water is rationed, and those more elevated, recounting the mission sent to the terrestrial satellite which must shed light on the fate of an abandoned space station from which a mysterious sample must be recovered.
Ambientato tra il pianeta Terra, in un futuro in cui la progressiva desertificazione ha compromesso la sopravvivenza dei suoi abitanti, e la Luna, la trama si snoda tra le difficoltà sociali delle classi più basse, alle quali viene razionata l'acqua, e quelle più elevate, raccontando la missione inviata sul satellite terrestre che deve fare luce sulla sorte di una stazione spaziale abbandonata dalla quale deve recuperare un misterioso campione.
