Treadstone explores the origin story and current actions of a fictional CIA covert operations program known as Operation Treadstone; a secret program that uses a behavior modification protocol to transform recruits into near-superhuman assassins. The series follows sleeper agents around the world as they are mysteriously "awakened" to resume their deadly missions. The program breaks down the personalities of these killers, erases their memories and eliminates their moral code so they can actually kill targets around the world.
